Curbside Carnies is a mobile circus project created by Sophie deLightful during the heavy lockdowns in Victoria, as a way to provide contactless, Covid-safe circus experiences to the people of Melbourne and beyond. As soon as the lockdowns were lifted, they were pushing their small portable stage onto the streets, giving free pop-up entertainment from Mount Alexander to Moonee Valley.

The project now provides regular circus entertainment and curated programs along the East Coast of Australia, and continues to work with community organisations and councils to engage and reactivate the community after the pandemic. If you’re looking for roving performance, workshops, circus play spaces, shows or curated programs, contact Sophie to make magic happen!
